Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a golf ball size tumor removed from my pituitary gland 4.5 years ago. Within the last year I have been experiencing tinnitus and at time some vertigo. I m concerned that the tumor may be growing back. I don t see him until next November. Can a tumor or Cushing s cause this? I m 62 years old YYYY@YYYY
I would like you to get your blood pressure checked, as high blood pressure could cause tinnitus too and vertigo could benign. keep yourself well hydrated. if symptoms still persist, visit ENT physician to see if any ear problem is giving you tinnitus and vertigo. It is very unlikely for pituitary tumor causing those symptoms, but having the history of a tumor there is the possibility of tumor recurring other sites, for example, eighth cranial nerve tumors causing tinnitus and vertigo. so always be on safe side.
